LECHS Points of Pride

  • Legacy is the largest Title 1 school in the SC Public Charter School District.

  • Enrollment has grown from under 500 scholars to almost 1,300 over the last 4 years. Currently grades K5-8 have a waiting list for admission.
  • Legacy Early College High School has higher education dual credit partnerships with Greenville Technical College and North Greenville University. Dual credit classes give scholars the opportunity to earn college transfer credits that could lead to earning an Associate's Degree while still in high school.
  • Legacy believes in the educational value of experiential learning. Our curriculum is supported by a robust schedule for our scholars who might not otherwise have such life enriching opportunities. We provide over 12,000 individual experiential learning experiences each year, such as trips to Williamsburg, VA, Washington, D.C., the Atlanta aquarium, Columbia's EdVenture, Hilton Head, local farms and businesses, college campus tours, concerts, theatres, museums, libraries and outdoor adventures.
  • 100% of Legacy graduates have been accepted to college.
  • 93% of graduates are "first in family" to enroll in college.
  • LECHS 2016-2017 graduates qualified for over $2.1 million in college scholarships.
  • Every Legacy graduate is eligible for a $4,000 Legacy academic college scholarship ($500 per semester for four years).
  • Legacy's High School Media Arts class was chosen as one of 17 elite schools across the nation to partner with PBS for a mentor-based journalism program. Legacy scholar work has been highlighted nationally on the PBS News Hour.
  • 100% of scholars receive free healthy meals.
  • 100% of scholars take physical education every day.
  • 100% of our senior men's basketball athletes have received full athletic scholarships.
  • LECHS school schedule allows for school-wide mindful moments throughout the day where scholars are able to center themselves through guide breathing exercises.
  • All high school seniors receive a transition coach, a professional within the community, to mentor them in the high school to college transition
